In Casa Grande Again

We arrived back at Desert Shadows RV resort in Casa Grande on Saturday March 15 in time to enjoy a great steak dinner put on by the Park.

Sunday we went into Mesa (near Phoenix) to visit the large flea market they have there. Lots of stuff but fortunately not much we needed.

Monday was a relaxing day at the park with cooler temperatures so we just did housekeeping and went to the local super mall.

Tuesday we went shopping at the local outlet mall which unfortunately for our pocket books had lots of stuff we just had to have. Jenna, our Granddaughter will be the biggest winner from our shopping, closely followed by Gary.

Wednesday was adventure day. Lori & Moe accompanied us as we went indoor skydiving at a vertical wind tunnel near by. What a hoot. The two of us and Lori did the flying while Moe took pictures and Videos. As shown by the pictures we all looked fashioable and hopefully you can also view the video of our adventure when I attach that later.

After the skydiving we all went to the local Gourd farm to check it out. The painting of gourds is a big thing with some people but not us.

Thursday Judy and I went on a hike/climb of Casa Grande Mountain with 4 others. One couple, Chris & Carolyne had been in the US navy and it turned out they were very good friends of our long lost friends Stan & Joanne Lichwalla. After sharing our memories and antedotes of Stan and Joanne, we got the Lichwalla's phone number and have since reestablished contact with them. What a small world it is.

Friday we went into Mesa again for the Flea Market, viewed some new RV's and had dinner at an Outback Steak house.

Saturday we spent around the park and on Sunday we went with Moe and Lori to Lori's Cousin Pat's place in Mesa for a great easter buffet.

Monday was another relaxing day topped off with Margarita's in the evening with some new aquintenances Bruce & Pam from Chase BC.

This week we also reestablished contact with Nat & Gerry Mawhinney, old friends from Greenwood & Summerside and we are having dinner with them and Bob Sexton, another old friend from Greenwood.

And thats the way it has been in the Hare's life during the past week. Hope everyone is well and keep in touch
